Treating your customers with respect on both a professional and a personal level will communicate that you appreciate their business. Remember the personal details; upcoming birthday, pet names, or wedding anniversary? Take a mental note and remember to send a card or say congratulations at your next meeting. Let the customer know the relationship means just as much—or more than—the paycheck. This is nothing new folks. But gosh is it hard to remember to do when you get busy. Before the fall comes hubris.

Don’t forget the give your clients “The Look.” Looks of respect, dignity and thankfulness!
