I’m very active on LinkedIn. Recently I saw a realtor post a “market analysis” document. There was no analysis. Just stating fact and regurgitating data. I see this type of real estate “market updates” and-or “analysis” often. It drives me crazy. Here’s why.

Because You, the buyer, seller and investor, are being so underserved in several ways. Underserved by meaningless unspecific and unconfirmed data. Underserved by lack of education, experience and competency. Underserved because the emails are misleading. Emails randomly sent to thousands of people based on numbers learned in rah rah sales meetings. You’re also being underserved by bias. Biased towards earning a commission and making a deal work. At all costs.

You deserve better. You’re not selling, buying or investing in a vacuum, lawn mower or a car. We’re talking hundreds of thousands of dollars. And for our clients south of the bay, millions.
It’s not about a realtor. Or Jennifer. Or me. It’s about YOU. All our education, experience, knowledge and designations are about advising YOU. Helping You the seller, You the buyer, and You the investor make quality real estate decisions. By objectively interpreting the data, honestly reporting it, and telling you what it means. Good, bad or ugly.

As a result, I thought I’d explain what we do at Mims Real Estate Advisors. We apply Red Sammy to your real estate needs. I’ll explain the differences between real estate data, research, analysis, statistics, and market interpretation. I’ve coined the term RDSAMI: Research, Data, Statistics, Analysis, and Market Interpretation.

RDSAMI sounds like Red Sammy doesn’t it?

Following is a personal story that illustrates one of many things that sets Mims Real Estate Advisors apart from other brokerage firms.

Years ago I refereed high school football in Atlanta, GA. A man named Eddie Brake was head of the referee association my rookie year. Eddie was a large burly man. Tall with a crew cut. Thick hands with tobacco stained fingers. A chain smoker. Lucky Strike non-filter cigarettes. Spoke with a growl. I’ll never forget what he told all the excited rookies our first day of orientation.

He cautioned, “Don’t look to throw a flag for holding. It’ll just be there.”

The same premise applies to real estate research and data. Mims goes where the data leads us. Good bad or indifferent. We research and report it honestly. We interpret it honestly. Most real estate folks pick and choose the data that’s most favorable to making a deal work.

There are lies, damn lies and statistics. Choose Mims Real Estate Advisors who understands Red Sammy.
