Shhhh. Because 2014 is about Listening to YOU!

I love New Years and not just because it’s our anniversary. It’s a great time to reflect. Whatever year you’ve experienced, ending a good year or bad year, tomorrow we all start fresh! New hope and renewed optimism. And naturally lots of football.

I’ve noticed something. Most real estate practitioners are poor listeners. For several reasons. Number one being most really don’t care about anything except the commission. And because we love to talk about ourselves. All of us are guilty of talking when we should be listening.

Decide. Make 2014 about Listening to You:

You the Buyer;
You the Seller;
You the Landlord;
You the Investor.

Decide. Pledge this year to engage a real estate professional who listens to your needs and requests and advises you accordingly. Because You deserve it. Real estate decisions are important and complex. They affect your family, friends and financial future.

It’s challenging to make the right real estate decision at the right time. Jennifer and I are good listeners. We want to advise what is best for YOU! How can a real estate professional advise their clients if they don’t take time to Listen to You?

Listen….Jennifer and I do not listen with the intent to reply, we listen to You with the intent to understand.

Our earnest commitment to you is Principled Advice Always. So choose Mims. Real estate experts who not only have unparalleled education and experience as appraisers, instructors, brokers, bankers, expert witness and consultants, but will Listen and advise you accordingly.

Look, I’m not a big believer in 2″ thick bound business plans, New Year’s resolutions and setting unrealistic goals. I’ve done them all 10 to the 100th factor. Keep it simple in 2014.

Surround yourself with good Listeners in 2014.
