Carillon Beach

Carillon Beach

Carillon Beach is a manned gated community. This 104± acre pristine gulf front property is located on the south side of US Hwy 98 in extreme western Panama City Beach, Bay County, Florida. It is a community created by William Biggs, Sr. beginning in 1982 when the family purchased the property that is now the community of Carillon Beach.

It was developed by Mr. William Biggs, Sr. and The Carillon Beach Institute, Inc. In 1991, the family enlisted the expertise of the late New Orleans architect Lloyd Vogt. Mr. Vogt modeled the plan for Carillon on the neighborhood plans used in ancient Greek and Roman times.

At the center of town stands the 37-bell carillon, the community landmark. Streets run north and south, east and west, from intersecting axes that lead to the separate parts of the project and community pavilions. In the community of Carillon Beach there are many amenities including: a 12-acre lake, naturally landscaped parks, three swimming pools, tennis courts, and over 4000 linear feet of frontage along the Gulf of Mexico.

Connecting and providing an east-west axis between the Meeting House and Bellview Park, the Promenade is a spacious pedestrian “avenue” for strolling. It also connects with a footpath system which provides easy access within the village. A system of parks interspersed throughout the villages offers 3 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts, and a children’s playground.
Beach Pavilions act as front porches on the beach for residents. The entrance is private including a 24-hour guard. The entrance is shared with Pinnacle Port, a well-established condominium development to the west. Lastly, the Carillon Beach Club provides a central place for gathering, swimming and other beach activities.

There are several different types of floor plans offered: cottage, two-story, and three-story homes with a beach house type design and appeal. The PUD features detached single-family residences with a few condos in the middle to upper price range. Most of the homes comprise 1800 to 4000 sf with 2-4 bedrooms and 2 to 3 baths. Most of the homes range from 5 to 20 years in age.
